We are hosting a CCAIA Practitioner member-only huddle with Lilian Starr of First Citizen’s Bank— and we really want to see you there! As aforementioned, this is strictly a practitioner only event taking place via zoom on February 17, 2026 from 1-2pm EST. As AI becomes more deeply embedded in contact center operations, routine and transactional work is increasingly handled by automation. What remains (and continues to grow in importance) are moments that require human judgment, empathy, and complex problem-solving.
In this huddle, we will explore how the role of the contact center professional is evolving as AI takes on repetitive tasks, and what skills leaders must intentionally develop to ensure their teams remain effective, engaged, and relevant.
The discussion will focus on how humans and AI can successfully work alongside one another, rather than compete, and how leaders can rethink hiring, training, and retention strategies in an AI-enabled contact center environment.
